Things done:

  • slept in super late due to Nyquil goodness
  • watched enough of a new season of 24 to make me paranoid
  • had a couple of lovely family dinners
  • did NOT exercise (oops)
  • had an impromptu snowball fight/snow down the back of the pants fight
  • went to churchy-church
  • FINISHED THE COVER LETTER and sent it in along with my resume (fingers crossed)
  • took a Sunday nap
  • watched the Super Bowl, sort of

We had a summery treat on a snowy day (complete with fresh whipped cream YUM)

i wanna be...where the people are...

This is where we spent pretty much all of Saturday… nestled under the big blue blanket on the couch with our cat and dog watching tv and getting over our colds, as well as our clogged pores.

We did get out of the house for a bit to get some fresh air and take Miss Mayfield for a walk.  By the time we made it out, most of the snow had already melted. 😦

ahhhh it's cold

Tonight Andrew, Mayfield, and I went over to his parents house to watch the big game.  His mom made yummy pancakes & bacon.  I mostly just watched the commercials (blah) and finished up my cover letter and resume and got it emailed to CSU.  We shall see.

Tonight after getting out of the shower, Andrew was carefully examining his 2 lonely shimmery gray hairs that are right above his temple and said, “I think I like my hair kept shorter now that I’ve got this salt and pepper thing going on.”

PAHAHAHA.  Precious fella.  I informed him that, while 2 gray hairs does not a head of salt & pepper make, if it made him feel wiser and more established to refer to himself in that way then it was ok.  Oh goodness me.

Tomorrow evening we are going on a hot date to see the Lakers play the Grizzlies!  We are going to be eating a nice dinner at the Majestic Grille, which I’m pretty excited about.  We’ve eaten there before and it was amazing.  This is kind of our V-day outing, so it will be very fun and romantic.  And I’m pretty excited about seeing the Lakers play.  Weird, I know.  I will take pictures!!!!!

Exciting announcement to come tomorrow 🙂  Stay tuned…
