Sunshine on my Shoulders

What a delightful weekend it was.

Started off Friday afternoon with an excellent visit to our new baby doctor.

Little Dude is growing like a weed.

Is it appropriate to refer to your child as a weed?  I mean it in the cliche saying kind of way.

Anyway, it was a really good visit.  They did another ultrasound and did my glucose testing thing, which forced me to drink some nasty syrupy substance that made me want to barf all over the nurse.  I held it in though.  Wanted to make a good first impression and all.  Then they had to draw like a half gallon of blood from my arm, and I didn’t even get a sticker.  What is up with that?  Blood Draw = Sticker, plain and simple.

Also, we found out that the baby weighs about 15 pounds, which is really quite impressive.

And then the rest of the weekend was spent with these crazy people:

Harper.

Matt.

Han.

It should be noted that the photos of Matt and Hannah are not from this weekend.  They are from the morning of their wedding.  🙂  Ah, young love.

Then last night we stayed in and threw ourselves a wild and krazy Super Bowl party.  I’m talking wild.  Leftovers, laundry, dog bathing, and of course watching the game and old Madonna get her groove on.  She wasn’t too bad, was she?  I wasn’t too impressed with the commercials this year.  Enough Super Bowl talk.

Listen, I’d love to stay and chat about all kinds of things, but it is very sunshiny outside and me and ol’ Mayfield could really benefit from a brisk walk.  The 15 pound baby growing inside of me would probably enjoy it too.

    1. I will send you a sticker.
    2. I love “weed.”
    3. Fifteen pounds, really?
4.Should be noted that the picture of Harper was NOT taken on Matt and Hannah’s wedding day:)
    5. Madonna (and all women of an upper age, such as myself, should be proud of just being able to get onto a stage!)

  2. What doctor did you end up going with? 🙂
