broiled grapefruit

Cut off the bottom on both ends, giving the halves the ability to sit upright in the pan and not roll around.

Slice it in half and flick out the seeds with a knife.

If you're a lazy grapefruit eater like me, cut in between the grooves to make them easier to get out with a spoon later on.

Transfer the halves onto your very best and prettiest pan, then sprinkle brown sugar all over the tops.

Ta-Da! Put the pan in the oven, and turn the broiler on high.

Make out with your dog.

A watched grapefruit never broils.

After about 8-10 minutes, take out the pan and admire the juicyness of your creation.

Dig in. See my pretty rosemary plant?

Afterwards, do the lady-like thing and slurp out all the juice.

I am not the world’s biggest grapefruit fan, but this was delicious.  As in, I stood at the counter and practically inhaled it as fast as my little spoon could scrape out the pieces.  Then I ate some animal crackers.  The end.
