30 weeks

March 2, 2012 by Heather

…Also known as:  Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving.

How I look:

side view, lookin' good

front view, lookin' grrreat

How I feel:

Hungry, pretty dang constantly.  Foods I want the most:  beef, lemon lime sodas, brownies, sharp cheddar cheese, salad with ranch dressing, and milk.

Tired, pretty dang constantly.  It is very comparable to the first trimester kind of tired – that total exhaustion even after 10 hours of sleep.  Except now I have a wee bit more weight to carry around (haha, wee bit, yeah right), making the tiredness even more interesting.

Oh, and hungry.  Did I mention that?  One more thing about the hunger:  it has to be small meals more frequently.  Big, full-sized meals give me one heck of a stomach ache.  Basically I graze all day.

I’M GASSY.  Gassy out the assy.  Oh sorry.  But let me tell you, I am.  I really, really am.

I feel the baby kick alllll the time.  He is a mover and a shaker.  We will have our hands full with this little guy.

Went to the doctor today, everything looks fantastic.  We will now be going every two weeks, so that is exciting.  Found out I’ve gained 10 pounds in one month (whoa..), which brings the total weight gain to approximately 25 pounds.  Don’t cross me, I’ll sit on you.  But the doctor & nurse said I look good and the baby looks good.  And I FEEL great, I don’t feel at all like I’ve put on a ton of unnecessary weight.  So I am not worried about it at all.  My new line for whenever Andrew makes me mad is, “You sure you want to go there?  I weigh more than you now, you know.”  He doesn’t make me mad very often though.  He’s pretty terrific.

So the bottom line at 30 weeks is that all is fabulous.  I feel great.  I am excited.  And I am hungry, with a side of the farts.

And I’ve never been more excited to do laundry before in my life:

It's amazing how many tiny clothes you can wash in just one load.

It’s the freakin’ weekend, ya’ll.  Yessssssssss.
