I’m feeling really optimistic today, about everything. Optimism on a Monday? Whaaa?
Maybe it’s because I had my favorite breakfast sandwich this morning (egg, cheddar, & avocado).
Maybe it’s because I spent almost an hour on the phone with my sister talking about everything from her new tattoo to our parent’s divorce to her sweet girl turning 1 in a couple of months. It’s those talks that keep me sane, I swear.
Maybe it’s because we finally got some stuff hung up on the walls in our new house, which automatically makes it feel a little more like home.
Maybe it’s because Parker has slept all night (except for that 5:30 snack he loves) in his crib for 4 nights in a row.
Maybe it’s because I can literally smell Fall coming right around the corner. It is undoubtedly the very best time of the year.
Maybe it’s because I am looking forward to cranking up the ol’ sewing machine and figuring out how to make some curtains. If I could only decide on some fabric… so many choices.
Maybe it’s because I finally decided to stop dwelling on the little things that can get me down. Whenever I feel that dark cloud coming on, I sing a hymn or read a Bible verse. I am going to try to start memorizing more scripture. I have a pretty bad memory, but I figure if I can memorize every word to Ice Ice Baby, then I can surely remember some of God’s promises.
