backyardigans

This weekend we got started on our garden.  We went to Lowe’s, gathered our supplies, and spent some time Saturday afternoon building a few raised beds that will soon be filled with all kinds of goodies.  My dad watched Parker all day so we could work on our project with no baby interruptions, which was a huge help.  It’s amazing what you can get accomplished when you aren’t chasing a crawling (but very sweet and cute) baby all over the place.

We also managed to stumble upon a, ahem, “fire pit” to put in our backyard.  Let me rephrase that.  Andrew stumbled upon it in a junk yard, and the man working there said he could have it for free.  You would’ve have thought the man had just handed him five hundred dollars or something.  To say that he was excited would be an understatement.  What is it about guys wanting to build fires?  And in an old wheelbarrow no less.  Whatever.

AND we finally bought a nice gas grill.  So basically, our backyard is ready for some serious spring/summer action.

25 cents each. score.

25 cents each. score. and yes, I plan to wear the heart pin on v-day.

I have a dishwasher & sink full of dishes, a laundry room full of clothes to wash, a baby waking up from a nap, and I’m still in my pajamas.  HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!
