mondays & meows

You know it’s been a little bit since your last blog post when WordPress makes you re-enter all of your login stuff.

Is anyone else just kind of, I don’t know, over social media? It’s started to really exhaust me lately. Like, I feel like I am required to check Facebook and make sure I know such and such about so and so. I kind of miss the days when we didn’t all know each others’ business. I mean, people who are relatively strangers to me in real life, I am friends with on Facebook and I see them at the grocery store or something and I know their intimate life details. I know his grandfather just passed away, or that maybe her husband sent her flowers or ticked her off because he got home late last night. I have seen what she looks like in the midst of giving birth. Yet I don’t know her well enough to actually stop and say hello. Does this weird anyone else out?

Obviously, I only add fuel to the know-everyone’s-business fire by posting all of my ridiculousness on here, but whatever. I will admit though that it is kind of freaky whenever I am talking to people and they ask about something I wrote on my blog, like something Parker did or whatever. And I shouldn’t find it freaky because I mean, come on, I’m the one putting it out there. But it’s still freaky. Whatever. Just, whatever.

New life motto: Just, whatever.

We went to the library this morning, and wouldn’t you know.. they had a stuffed cat. I am going to need to obtain one of these things, STAT. You hear me? ASAP. I had to totally hide it while Parker wasn’t looking just so we could leave with our new books in a halfway quiet library kind of way.

Oh, hey cat.

Oh, hey cat.

He walked around the whole time going, "Meow, meow, meow."

He walked around the whole time going, “Meow, meow, meow.”

He would also hoist it up on his shoulder and carry it around like a boom box.

...and it joined him for a snack.

…and it joined him for a snack.

I know, I know. You are wondering why our cat-obsessed child does not already own a stuffed cat. I don’t have a good answer, so why don’t you go ahead and buy him one.

Happy Monday to you & yours.

P.S. I really wanted to title this post “Puss in Books,” you know, like Puss in Boots. Buuuut I didn’t. You’re welcome, whoever might be offended by that title idea.
