toilet cleaning song

I stumbled across this song the other day while scrubbing the toilet.  It came on one of my Pandora stations.  Apparently it’s really popular, but I’d never heard it before.  It’s called “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” and it’s by Hillsong United.  It has a zillion billion listens on Spotify, so I’m sure you’ve already heard it.

But I tell you what, it’s a good thing I was already on my knees wiping cat hair off the bottom of the toilet because this song kept me there for the duration.  It’s so beautiful and the lyrics are incredibly poignant:

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior.”

That’s a crazy request, is it not?  God, take me anywhere.  Test me.  I’ll do it.

It just gives me chills.

Thank you everyone for all of the comments on the last post, be it on here or on Facebook.  Sometimes I get to writing and lose myself in the transferring of thoughts from my brain to my fingertips and I somehow forget that people actually read this.  It’s really, really nice to hear from fellow parents with tiny tots as well as parents who are now grandmas and grandpas who identify with these wonderfully rewarding yet exhausting-in-everyway-possible times.  So, thanks.  Really.

HAPPY THURSDAY!
