We just took down all of our Christmas decorations. It’s kind of depressing in that no-more-sparkly-tree-in-the-corner kind of way, but it’s also nice to have the extra space back and clear the way ahead for a new year. I don’t think I’ve ever had decor down before January 1st, I guess I should thank Andrew for that. I know I said “we” took it all down, but really it was him. It probably had something to do with the fact that earlier today I claimed I would “gladly pay someone $300 to take down our Christmas tree.” Surely he knew I was joking… but there he was after lunch, hauling in the plastic tubs and patiently removing the strands of lights. He dismantled everything and I gently put it all away, so maybe it was a team effort. In the end we made a pact to not put the tree up next year. We’ll see how that goes.
We had a lovely Christmas, and although it’s a bummer to be ringing in the New Year with the flu plaguing our entire household (it’s coming for you Andrew, you’re just in denial), I’m excited for what 2015 holds.
Can someone please tell Parker that his ‘stache looks more like really thick snot? Mine looks like a band aid, so I guess I don’t have a lot of room to talk.
See you next year!!!!
