Love and Boys

February 13, 2015 by Heather

Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend!  Have anything fun planned?  I always get annoyed (I think I said this last year…) by people who have a pity party on V-day because they are single.  I mean, I get it.  Hearts, roses, love, and Shari’s Berries are all up in your face and you feel alone and unloved.  But you’re not unloved, not really.  Valentine’s Day isn’t just about hiding in a corner and smooching your sweetheart.  It’s about showing the love, whatever that means to you.  So if you’re feeling sorry for yourself this weekend, go hand out chocolate pudding cups at the nursing home or something.  Take your grandma a balloon, buy yourself some chocolate, call your girlfriends.  Show the love, and you’ll feel the love.

End love rant.

Andrew has a fun evening planned for us.  I’m excited.  Parker and I made him some homemade poptarts this week, in the spirit of showing love and also making a huge mess.  Baking with a toddler always seems like such a good idea until you’re in the middle of it.  Then it’s like, oh my gosh, what was I thinking.  This was a terrible idea.  Good thing they turned out cute and delish.

Well, I guess that’s about all I’ve got for this lucky Friday the 13th.

Oh, one more thing.

It’s a BOY!!!
